A South Florida drawbridge operator is out of a job after raising a bridge with a car, and its driver, still on it. The frightening video, from October of last year, shows a car stopped on Ocean Avenue Bridge in Lantana when it became stuck as the bridge started going up. The driver initially tried to get out of the car as the bridge was going up, but got back in as the vehicle started to move. Thankfully, the car slid down the bridge to rest on all four wheels. Palm Beach County said the bridge tender was a county employee who has since been fired.
