Responding to a call of a juvenile dolphin in distress, a Miami-Dade police officer Nelson Silva with the marine patrol unit, freed a dolphin that was trapped in fishing wire. It wasn't without a struggle as you can see in the video here that was recorded on December 10th.
Officer Silva arrived and found the dolphin struggling to swim along the water’s surface. Silva reached for the net to cut it off, but the young dolphin struggled, making rescue efforts more difficult. The dolphin tried to get away from the law on several attempts. However, after about three minutes, Silva successfully cut the net loose from the dolphin, which swam off with ease.
