Critics are calling a game where teachers competed for one-dollar bills 'terrible' and 'dehumanizing.' At a junior hockey game in South Dakota Saturday night, five-thousand dollars in one-dollar bills was dumped on a carpet in the middle of the rink. Ten local teachers wearing hockey helmets scrambled to pick up as much of the cash as they could while spectators cheered from the stands. A clip of the event went viral with critics calling the game 'dystopian' since teachers in South Dakota are paid relatively small salaries. Democratic state Senator Reynold Nesiba said the event was probably well-intentioned but ended up being a 'terrible image.'
