Night one, with pizza from Broadway Pizza on Manhattan's Upper West Side on the rooftop of my sister's building. (I did not eat the side with spinach) Later on night one, pizza from Mama's Too on Broadway. The crust is focaccia bread and was good although a little overcooked for me. Plus, since getting a favorable write-up in the NY Times, they take no crap from their customers. They text you when your pie is ready and yell at you if you show up early. Soup Nazi anyone?Pizza meal #3 was from my hometown of Dumont, NJ. Uncle Franks Pizza is still great and tastes like home!Nighttime on the rooftop, the jumbo slice with sausage from Koronet pizza on Broadway on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Always good and bigger than your head! On day 4, I had square "Grandma" slice at Gencarellis in Pine Brook NJ for lunch. It was ok.Day 4 we have a "Godparents" pizza for dinner. Half Godfather, half Godmother from Nino's in Hillsdale, NJ. It was good. GRANDMA PIZZA: Thin crust, square pan pizza layered with mozzarella cheese, fresh garlic, spotted with a herbed San Marzano tomato sauce. GRANDPA PIZZA: Thin crust, square pan pizza layered with mozzarella cheese, plum tomatoes, light garlic, extra virgin olive oil & basil.Day 6 was when Tropical Storm Henri came through and rained all day. It was homemade pizza day by future Tik-Tok star Chef James. We have several different types, but this one had half bacon and half grilled chicken.It was unplanned, but the best pizza was the last pizza. A regular slice from Sal & Carmines on Broadway was the perfect classic slice of NY pizza!The Pizza from Sal & Carmines on Monday was so good, I went back on Tuesday and ate in the car on the way to LaGuardia Airport.I GAINED 6 POUNDS IN 7 DAYS, BUT IT WAS WORTH EVERY BITE!
