Billie Eilish is opening up about the injuries that have left her "in pain" and at war with her body since she was a child.

In her November cover story for Vogue, Eilish spoke about how she has experienced injuries related to her hypermobility — where her joints stretch further than normal — that have caused her pain for years, per People. The 22-year-old musician also shared that as a child, she would often hear comments from adults seemingly dismissing how much pain she was in just because of her age.

"I've basically been in pain since I was 9," she said. "Growing up, I'd always hear people be like, 'Just wait until you're older! You're going to have so much pain!' And I remember being so furious."

The "Birds of a Feather" singer said the pain she feels has led to some "dark times" while touring, admitting that it can feel "lonely."

"I've had some really dark times on tour," she said. "For a long time I was kind of living like it was temporary. Like, yeah, I'm touring for now and it's kind of unpleasant, and whatever. It'll be over. And the truth is, it's the rest of my life."

She continued, "I didn't realize that I could make touring enjoyable. I just was very lonely for many years, and I'm not interested in that anymore. I want to enjoy the show as well as my days."

Eilish, who has been open about many different aspects of her life from the time she was "ghosted" to the most "frustrating" thing about being famous, recently revealed the topic that she never wants to speak on again that she wishes no one knew about.
